DivyaYatra (divyayatra.co.in) is an AI-powered pilgrimage trip planning service for the sacred cities of Uttar Pradesh — Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Chitrakoot.
DivyaYatra is operated as a sole proprietorship by Prashant, based in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Information we collect
When you use DivyaYatra, we collect:
A) Trip planning data
Your starting city, destination cities, travel dates, number of travellers, and group preferences (elderly / children). This is needed to generate your personalised itinerary.
B) Technical data
Browser type, device type, and pages visited — collected automatically via our hosting service. Used only to improve app performance.
C) Location data
We do NOT collect your GPS or real-time location. You enter your starting city manually.
What we do not collect
- ✓We do not collect your name, email, or phone number (unless you voluntarily contact us)
- ✓We do not collect payment information — all bookings happen on third-party sites
- ✓We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN, or any government ID
- ✓We do not track your location in real time
- ✓We do not create user accounts or store passwords
How we use your information
Your trip data is used ONLY for:
- →Generating your personalised pilgrimage itinerary using Claude AI (Anthropic)
- →Optimising your travel route between holy cities
- →Showing relevant weather, crowd, and temple timing alerts
- →Providing hotel, restaurant, and transport recommendations from our curated database
- →Enabling WhatsApp sharing and PDF download of your itinerary
Third-party services
DivyaYatra uses these third-party services to operate:
Important: When you click affiliate booking links, you leave DivyaYatra and the third party's privacy policy applies. We may receive a commission if you complete a booking — this does NOT affect your price.
Data storage & security
Your trip data is stored in our secure database (PostgreSQL), hosted on secure AWS servers. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
Trip data is linked to a unique trip ID stored in your browser — not to any personal identity.
We retain trip data for 90 days after creation, after which it is automatically deleted.
Cookies
- Essential cookies: required for the app to function (trip ID, session state)
- No advertising cookies — we do not run ads or ad tracking
- No analytics cookies from Google / Facebook / Meta
Your rights
Under the Indian IT Act 2000 and DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Request deletion of your trip data — email us your trip ID
- Know what data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data

Children's privacy
DivyaYatra is designed for adults planning family pilgrimages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
The "includes children" trip option only affects itinerary planning — no child data is collected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as DivyaYatra grows. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
